Dr. King's thoughts on the planned March in Dover.

Dear Dr. Issa, Greetings to you and all of the participants of the MLK Day March taking place on January 15, in Dover, DE. My uncle, Dr. King was a man of God who loved the human race. Through his faith in God, his acknowledgement of Jesus Christ as his Savior, and his commitment to advancing the reality of a Beloved Community, Dr. King was able to share the love of God with the whole world.

The year 2013 will mark several landmark anniversaries including 150 years since the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, 100 years since the formation of the Federal Reserve System, 50 years since the MLK I HAVE A DREAM SPEECH, and 40 years of legal abortion in America with the passage of Roe versus Wade. This will surely be a year of transition and there is a need for a deep spiritual awakening.

My friends, we are closer to being “free at last,” but we are not yet in the Promised Land. Let 2013 mark a season of enlightenment where change can ignite in every heart. Let this be a time when the reality of the beauty of natural life, natural marriage and natural family will no longer be considered a hopeless dream, but a reality of a promise of Divine Love and Grace.

Today as you celebrate the life and ministry of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. please remember that he stood for love and for justice, for righteousness and peace. May God bless each and every one gathered.
